SETUP GUIDE

Set up InvoiceNow in five steps

To get ready for the GST InvoiceNow Requirement: find your implementation date, check your software is InvoiceNow-Ready (or pick a free package), get a Peppol ID through your provider, switch on GST InvoiceNow submission, and confirm IRAS acknowledges your invoice data.

  1. STEP 1 OF 5

    Find out your date

Use the calculator to see which phase you are in. IRAS should also have notified you through MyTaxMail, so go by that letter.

IRAS has notified GST-registered businesses that were registered before 2026 of their mandatory implementation date from mid-2026. Businesses without GST returns for periods ending in 2025 will be told their date later. [IRAS page]

  2. STEP 2 OF 5

    Check your software is InvoiceNow-Ready

Look for your software on IMDA’s InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Provider list. If you run your own ERP or in-house system, you need an IMDA-accredited Access Point Provider instead. No software yet? Free-of-charge packages are listed by IMDA.

Check IMDA’s list of accredited InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Providers. If yours is not on it, you can work with an IMDA-accredited Access Point Provider to connect it, switch to a free-of-charge package, or move to an InvoiceNow-Ready solution. [IRAS FAQ Q1.9] If you use an ERP system, you need an IMDA-accredited Access Point Provider, directly or through your systems integrator. [IRAS FAQ Q1.13]

  3. STEP 3 OF 5

    Get your Peppol ID

Ask your IRSP or Access Point provider to register your business in the SG Peppol Directory with your UEN. Search below to see if you already have one.

  4. STEP 4 OF 5

    Switch on GST InvoiceNow submission

Activate your GST InvoiceNow submission feature to start submitting invoice data to IRAS. Your IRSP or Access Point provider can help.

Under the GST InvoiceNow Requirement, GST-registered businesses must use InvoiceNow-Ready Solutions to submit invoice data to IRAS. [IRAS e-Tax Guide para 3.2]

  5. STEP 5 OF 5

    Make sure submission works

Test before your date and check your solution shows an IRAS acknowledgement ID for each successful transmission. For in-house systems, IRAS says to allow 3 to 12 months for system connection.

For every successful transmission, you receive an acknowledgement ID from IRAS through your InvoiceNow-Ready Solution. It confirms IRAS received the submission. [IRAS FAQ Q3.20] For in-house enterprise solutions, allow 3 to 12 months for system connection to IRAS. [IRAS e-Tax Guide para 13.6]

Is there an InvoiceNow login?

You use InvoiceNow through your InvoiceNow-Ready Solution, so you sign in to your provider’s software, and that is where your submissions show up. Under the GST InvoiceNow Requirement, GST-registered businesses must use InvoiceNow-Ready Solutions to submit invoice data to IRAS. [IRAS e-Tax Guide para 3.2] InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Providers should let you see the date and time of each submission, its status and the IRAS acknowledgement ID. How this is shown differs between providers. [IRAS FAQ Q3.9]
